What is MMR for?
MMR in Dota 2 serves as a criterion for the selection of players same rating as you. Most of the players play in the range of 3000-4300 MMR (solo rating). The higher the rating - the stronger the opponents, you get a more real experience, higher understanding of the game and mutual assistance.

Will i play with Pro-players, for example, if i will have 5000 MMR?
Yes, they will. According to the statistics only 14% of players have a rating of 4800 or higher (refer to the home page). If we consider that the pro-players are playing in the area of 5500-6700 MMR (not so much), and the probability that all of these accounts at this moment are looking for the game is extremely small, the system is forced to choose "nearest" rated accounts.
You can manually draw attention to the pro-players streams, when at the end of each match MMR is shown and see how often players with 4,800 play in a team with 5500 MMR and higher.
On the most common levels of 3000-4200 MMR commonly accounts of players are matched with a small spread in 100-300 points.

What is KDA??
KDA - utility factor in the game affects the calculation of your MMR rankings as long as it is not assigned to the account. Calculated as follows: (K + A) / D, where K- number of Kills in the game, D - number of deaths, A - number of assists. For example, finished the match, did 8 Kills, died 4 times, participated in the killing of 12 enemy heroes - your KDA = (8 + 12) / 4 = 5 which is good.

How to create good account yourself?
You need to play 40-50 games with high KDA and successfully play 10 games of calibration.
Example: if the first game you played before calibration was in 3000MMR games and you win all 10 calibration games, with 5 KDA - after calibration you will have an account with 4200-4500 MMR, no more. Respectively. to get more rating, the first game you have to play at the level of 4000 mmr and you perfectly played your calibration games, you will get an account with 4500+ MMR.
Due to calibration of 10 games you can improve about 1200-1300 MMR (as experience shows).

However, it still may have cranks, but in a much smaller numbers than 3000 MMR
